Billie was born on Feb. 17, 1972 and was the youngest of six children. His dad was a truck driver and played drums in a jazz band. Sadly, he died of cancer when Billie was only ten years old. His mother was a waitress at Rod's Hicory Pit and took her husbands death very hard.

Billie began singing when he was young, 5 to be exact, in hospitals to cheer patients up. He also recored the song "Looking for Love". The first record Billie bought was Elvis Presly's "The Sun Sessions". His friends got him to listen to punk music and he was soon hooked on punk bands. He wrote his first song "Why Do You Want Him" when he was only 12 years old (on 1039/Smoothed).

In March of 1995 she gave birth to Joseph Marcicano Armstrong. They had a second child, Jakob Danger Armstrong. Billie is co-owner of the record label Adeline Records. Adeline is home to the Criminals, One Man Army, AFI, and BJ's other band, Pinhead Gunpowder.
