I would like to tell everyone about the amazing birthday gift I got from one of my friends. He got me a picture of Green Day, signed by the whole band!! I am going to see if I can get it up on the site. Thanks so much Will, you're the best!
Speaking of birthdays, it was Billie Joe's birthday on the 17th! Happy 30th!!

Why I like Green Day and Billie Joe:
I fell in love with Green Day and their music eight years ago. Billie Joe is someone I look up to most in life. From what I've read about him, he's been through a lot, but he obviously hasn't given up. He seems to be incredibly strong willed and he doesn't put up with any crap. Even though he's famous and has a lot of responsibilities, he has his priorities straight. He stands up for people, and for what he believes in no matter what anyone thinks. He is honestly his own person, and it is reflected through his music. He plays what he wants even though the genre of his music can be very contraversial. He's stayed true to his music and hasn't let fame take the reigns. This is why I like Green Day and Billie Joe. (Ps. The rest of the band are awesome too!)

Green Day have come out with their latest CD, Shenaniggans. I dunno if I spelt that right...oh well. Its a collection of B-sides and stuff, so get it. They're still working on some songs for a new album in 2003, last I heard. They're currently on tour in Europe though. Wish I were there. Anyways, for you Edmonton people out there, go to http://thebearrocks.com and request Green Day!! Oh, and you people out there not in Edmonton, you can do that too, just hit 'listen live' and you can hear our Canadian radio stations! We finally got one of those, eh! Now if only we could get that nifty indoor heating and plumbing thing happening....
